Shipping policy

 

DELIVERIES

Delivery is calculated upon volumetric weight of goods with a minimum fee for packages up to a certain amount of volumetric weight. The delivery fee will be displayed before you checkout and recorded in your order confirmation, which will be emailed to you. By their nature, some Crystals and minerals can be heavy or bulky and therefore reasonably costly to ship. The 'kg' amounts shown at checkout are the equivalent 'volumetric weights' used by shippers to calculate costs, whereby the higher of 'volumetric weight' (size of box) or actual 'mass' is charged. For lighter items in large boxes, you will notice a 'kg' rate much higher than the actual 'mass' of the item so therefore does not actually indicate the actual 'weight' of the item but only the 'charged for' volumetric weight buy the shippers. Volumetric weight is also affected by the bulkiness of soft packaging material needed for our items.

Charges calculated for delivery and paid for at checkout are for main centres only. If you are in an outlying area that requires surcharges applied by our shippers, we will inform you of the extra charges (at cost) required as a top-up payment for delivery.

You will not be charged a Delivery Fee when using the 'COLLECTION' option. Collections are only available by arrangement/appointment from Amelia's Crystal Palace, 28 Mansell Road, Killarney Gardens, Cape Town, 7441

Courier delivery of your order will occur 3 to 4 business days (slightly longer for outlying areas) from the date that your Order confirmation is sent to you, except during sales and/or special events, such as Black Friday or Cyber Monday, when delivery may take up to 7 business days. We do not guarantee that your order will be dispatched or delivered on any particular date and time, however we will notify you as such. We endeavour to ship all items on the same day that payment confirmation is received unless a custom request is required.

Your order will only be delivered to a valid address in South Africa, on business days between 08h00 and 16h00 and you, or the person accepting delivery on your behalf, may be requested to produce identification, when accepting the delivery of your order.

Two attempts will be made to deliver your order and should you fail, refuse or neglect to be available and accept the order after 2 attempts, You will be liable for additional delivery charges or we may elect to cancel your order, in which event we will refund You the full transaction value less delivery charges already incurred and a 25% restocking charge.

TRACKING YOUR ORDER

Within 24 hours of your Order having been shipped, you will receive an email confirmation containing your shipping details, and unless delivered by one of our distribution partners directly...  a tracking number (if sent by our couriers).

When your order is delivered, you must immediately inspect the Products and be satisfied that the Products conform to the quality and quantity You ordered and are free from any defects. You are not able to return any Products to Us with the courier and if you wish to return the Products, You must follow the returns procedure, as contained in our Return Conditions, which can be found on www.ameliascrystalpalace.com.
