Natural Spirit Amethyst Quartz Crystal Cluster
Spirit Quartz (or Cactus Quartz) is a quartz habit which is 100% unique to the Boekenhouthoek deposits of South Africa. Since the initial discovery, it has always been a highly sort after.
Younger deposits had exceptional dark intense colour with more recent deposits being lighter in colour and some section producing mixed amethyst and citrine like colouration, hence aptly named ametrine spirit quartz. Unfortunately, amethyst spirit quartz only represents 1% of the deposits mined making these specimens available from Amelia's Crystal Palace amongst the rarest. The bulk of Spirit Quartz is in fact "white" with some subtle variations in colour.
Present day excavations produce this uniquely rare Amethyst material which ranges from very pale lilac to a darker tone of purple. These beautiful Natural Amethyst Crystal Clusters will be the envy of your friends!
